Disc Thermostats
Overview
Selco’s comprehensive line of highly reliable switches utilize a temperature sensitive bi-metal disc, electrically isolated from the switch. Contacts will close or open on temperature rise when the surface or ambient temperature increases to the snap point of the calibrated bi-metal disc. These disc thermostats are retained by a metal heat conducting sensing cap and are all single pole, single throw non-adjustable switches. To provide flexibility for customer specific applications, we offer a variety of terminal and mounting configurations.
Custom Manufacturing options are available including: brackets, pipe and tube mounts, lead termination, over-molding and epoxy sealing. For details regarding custom disc thermostat assemblies see Custom Manufacturing Capabilities.

Our selection of 1/2" (15 Amp) discs include phenolic, polyester, and ceramic body styles, a variety of mounting and terminal configurations.
Our selection of 3/4" (25 Amp) discs include phenolic, polyester, and ceramic body styles, a variety of mounting and terminal configurations.
The hermetically sealed precision thermostat is a snap-action disc control. They are designed to operate in extreme environmental conditions.
The SEO (T) Moisture Resistant Thermostat Series automatic reset thermostats were designed for humid environments. They provide a rapid response to temperature changes.
